Cold Foods

Has anyone dealing with their TN triggering inside their mouth when eating found that cold foods such as ice cream calm the pain almost completely while eating it? I just noticed that my TN is not triggered while eating ice cream on the left side of my mouth which is where the pain has always been. Please give any feedback. It seems to be a great thing, but i will weigh 600 lbs if this what I need to do in the future. Thanks.

I did find that cold foods no longer bother me once I started trileptal. It used to hurt, I thought I had sensitive teeth.

Weird - but try crushed ice maybe?

At times I crave cold drinks or foods (like ice-cream) because it seems to bring down the pain, whereas at other times warm drinks, such as tea, seem to help. Funny thing is that while some time back I didn't have much pain while chewing foods on my bad side of mouth, if I accidentally bite down on my sore teeth now it is very very painful.
