Bilateral GPN surgery

All medication has failed to help my bilateral GPN. So I finally have been referred to a neurosurgeon for consultation. If (when) surgery is recommended: Do they do both MVD surgeries at the same time OR one side at a time?

I am bilateral and just had a consult with Dr. Linskey at UCI. He said one side at a time and 12-18 months apart.

Thanks Christian22. I'm sorry that you have this curse bilaterally. That makes sense that they do one side at a time. So grateful for this support group. You and I are in rare company with having bilateral GPN.

So sorry to read you guys have bilateral GPN - its a rare enough condition without having it bilaterally!

My thoughts are with you both and hope all goes well and you come out into the sunshine, pain free.
