Awful sense of smell on Trileptal

Everything smells AWFUL. I am on Trileptal 1750 mg per day and have to say the change in the way things smell and taste are really annoying. I'm dealing with it but just wanted to vent as I sit here and can't stand the smell of the dogfood in the kitchen. Couldn't eat much today as things just tasted disgusting. I literally spit things out in the sink. I finally could make it through carrots and water and some watermelon. UGG. If that isn't enough I am still having mild break through pain. I was only diagnosed in May of this year but I REALLY want to have MVD. I know it has risks and may not work for everyone but I am SO ready to try.

I was on it for a year - never had that side effect --- you could read the 45 page leaflet the fda puts out on it - or

Call pharmacist and ask about that side effect = they will come up with an answer within a couple of minutes!
