Any idea how long the initial side effects last for this drug? I get a rip roaring headache about 20 minutes after taking this medication? I feel like I want to toss my supper. ugh! Any hel would’ve appreciated.
For me, that would be bad enough to try something else.
I also reacted badly to Trileptal. The pain was excruciating and I felt sick and dizzy. I got myself (somehow) to the ER. They asked me to rate my pain. I said, "So bad that I want to die." At that point, I became a mental patient and they sent in someone to do a psych eval. That was ridiculous! Doesn't everybody say that when they're really miserably sick?
I certainly think that your statement was appropriate especially in a misery moment! I complained to my doctor who called in some nausea medication and told me to take a Vicodin. I called the pharmacist who said that this side effect was more than likely temporary so am hanging tough. In the meantime I am off work another week and wonder what my career long term looks like
