I am on lyrica and trepeline. I feel that I am so physical tired and exhausted all the time. Especially around lunch time and five in the afternoon it is worse. I don’t know if it is the fight against the pain or the medication or anything else. I have no energy to make my daily tasks and wonsered if anyone else feels the same. If so what do you do to maintain your energy level?
Oh yeah, I know that fatigued feeling very well. When I was working a corporate job, sitting in a cubicle all day, I had to fight to not nod off. My doctor prescribed Nuvigil, which is used for people with crazy shift changes and also for narclepsy. It helped but is very expensive. I know of others whose doctors prescribed ADD medication, which helped and were much cheaper. BUT... What really has helped me the most is any type of exercise (quick walk (even in place), pumping body & and raising arms, dance walking around the house (when nobody's looking!) . Doesn't have to be a full workout, short spurts of 1 or 2 min. is good enough to get the blood and endorphins flowing. Added bonus is that endorphins are natural opiates!
You might want to ask your dr. to check your B & D levels. I take a B12 supplement as well as D3 every day. Some medications seem to wreak havoc with vitamin B.
Thank you so much for the wonderful advise. I will try it with more exercise for sure. I your even realised that when I am having an active day (which you have as a teacher) I am better, but as soon I sit down I am just smashed as if I did a marathon run.
I take supplement Vitamin B since a week. My pharmacists advised so and actually that helps a lot. It seems really as if the other medication and the pain just drains your body.

No crash
I'm on baclofen and gabapentin, Yes I get tired as well! I'm not working but have an online jewelry business and have lost energy to create designs. You just have to go with it.
I don't know why this happened to me but I know if I trust the Lord his plan will unfold . Jeremiah 29:11 . I cry out to God to help me at times and he's there.
I hear eating right is a big factor and i'm guilty of not doing this. I was downing a lot of coffee to keep me going but it started upsetting my stomach so that stopped.
rest eat well, and talk to your doctor about adjusting your medication.
God Bless!

Thank you for your advice to all of you. I think sometimes it makes it even harder to sustain the pain and live a "normal" life to being so tired. Any tip from experienced ones is helpfull and also motivational to give it a try.
