Accupunture

I have had 2 MVD surgeries

I have suffered from Tn for over 15 years I am now on Topimax and Lyrica and cannot go on anymore due to my job and need to be alert in order to perform my duties so I go to work in pain...I know it sucks...but the bills need to be paid and I have to have insurance. Well my last MVD was 1-1/2 years ago and now the pain is breaking though again....so i decided no more surgeries for now and I am trying the natural route. I went to my first Acupuncture today. I feel a little better. Also he is a Chinese Herbalist and I am trying that way also...does anyone have any experience with it?

I am currently seeing an acupuncturist. I have also had longer and longer periods of being pain free. Coincidence? I don't know. One thing different, the acupuncturist I am seeing, sees my TN2 as being an allergic reaction/ damage to the T. nerve from repeated, heavy exposure to mold. And boy howdy, was I ever exposed!

thank you for getting back to me. Today I have more energy then I have had in weeks after one session with Accupunture. I hope it lasts, i feel pretty good, I am going to keep it up and see hope i pans out. It is worth the try

Hi Ladies. I went to see my Neurologist last Thursday and he has decided to try me on Topamax 25mg twice a day. I don't think there are many more meds left for me to try! I've been in constant pain now for just over 12 months and have also decided to try acupuncture and have my first appointment on Tuesday. I tried it in my early twenties for really bad allergies to dogs and horses and it cured me totally, so fingers crossed that it can help with this nasty. Great to ready your feedback; hope mine is good also.

Acupuncture does not work for everyone but for me it has been a blessing. Short of my Gabapentin, it has been the best thing for me. My acupuncturist has helped me sleep naturally without medication and does help with headaches and overall well being. I'm not sure if it is helping with my TN as I'm on gabapentin but I notice I hurt more if I go more than a month between visits. She has also helped steer me towards health through supplements. I'm surprised doctors do not discuss vitamin or mineral deficiencies.

I am surprised about the Vitamins also...i work with someone who is very into homeopathic medicine and he told me to make sure i take b complex and get a good Magnesium supplement, no one has every told me that before but once I looked it up on line there is alot of evidence supporting it ...
