Yoga for relief

Hi, everyone.

I am of course on Carbamazepine, but it does not quite cut it for my ATN, and so I try to do some stress busting with yoga. After 15 years, I have finally discovered poses that work directly on the ATN pain, mainly due to the fact that they cause me to relax my face. My favorites are- Child's pose (Balasana)

- Ragdoll (Ardha Utkatasana)

- Seated forward bend (Paschimottanasana)

A good relaxation pose sequence often sets me up for a few good hours, and is sometimes the best thing to do at night to get some relief from the accumulated pain. At other times, a rigorous practice (or a brisk walk or other exercise) is sometimes the only thing to do.

Do you practice? What is your favourite, and how do you practice yoga? Rigorously, calmly...?

I practiced yoga for almost 40 years until I had a serious back injury. Then TN showed up. Don't know if a fractured T3 could cause TN. Doc says no but I'm not convinced. Oh, yes, the topic. Yoga. I am going to go back to it, thank you for the suggestions.

I've never tried yoga, but I'm desperate.

I had my first symptoms in September. I was placed on gabapentin 2 weeks ago, supplementing with nortriptalyne started 1 week ago, and today it's like I'm doing nothing.
