What do you eat?

i know this is going to sound really dumb, but what do you guys eat? my biggest trigger is chewing! with my attacks being usually hours long i am so afraid to eat! for breakfast i make a shakeology shake (LOTS of vitamins and protein) and then make friut/veggie smoothie for lunch. i tend to skip dinner or will eat yogurt and oatmeal since no chewing necessary. i am fine during the week since i sit at a desk all day, but on the weekends i am light headed and feel faint. i know its lack of food, but how do you bring yourself to eat when its going to cause so much pain???

I ate cream of wheat cereal for breakfast that I made very runny, also ensure shakes can be good.

When chewing was a trigger, I drank protein shakes, ate soup and invested in a great juicer, drinking lots of veges.

If I can use a straw but not silverware, and cold is a trigger - warm broth (yuck), room temperature pop (glucose stops the faint feeling), warm tomato soup, warm Ensure.

If I can use a spoon and cold is a trigger - mashed potatoes, pudding, soups that aren't chunky, oatmeal or cream of wheat (I add flax).

If cold isn't bothering me - malts, ice cream, smoothies, cold Ensure.

It's important to watch portion sizes if you eat like this, but I figure that I can get my nutrition on days when I can use a fork. When I'm dealing with a flareup I focus on getting enough calories to stay on my feet, no more, no less.

On the really bad days I either don't eat, or eat and deal with the consequences, but my attacks last for minutes so I imagine it's an easier choice for me.

If I am having an attack, I will eat scrambled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, pudding, applesauce, milkshakes, soft diced peaches, etc...

I’m doing much the same as everyone else, smoothies if I can tolerate the cold otherwise it is homemade veggie and lentil soup blended, puréed fruit.
If I feel very lazy I just drink a ready to drink protein drink called orgain. I like the taste and they are easy to take if I go out.

I add protein powder, chia seeds, spinach, soy grits, walnuts and sunflower seeds to the smoothies to try and improve the nutrition.

Hope you all have a good day.

Hugs Trish
