Trying so hard not to lose it

Hi guys…

I’m currently on day 11 of a flare that’s not stopping. This has never happened before. I went to the ER 5 days ago and that usually stops the cycle, it didn’t work this time. I’m not in constant pain but it’s hitting me every day, multiple times. I know many are in this situation and I always felt terrible for those sufferers, now I’m one of them… Sigh. I’m trying so hard emotionally to not just lose it completely. I’m on a lot of medications and they’ve worked for some time but of course it’s getting progressively worse. My neuro is out of the country till Monday, with no coverage  I take tegretol, Neurotin, and baclofen. I’ve had to take psudophedrine as well for constant migraine type tightness and pain in my head. I’m out of xanex and have consulted with both gamma knife and an MVD surgeon, both were reluctant because my neuro has suspected ms though no lesions could be seen… I had to stop going to my therapist because I had to cancel appts and was being charged… Help? Any advice? I know no one is a doctor but any suggestions would be really appreciated…

Can you contact your Primary care doctor to see if he/she can help you...until your Neurologist comes back on Monday?

If it were me..that's what I would do.. :-/

I don’t currently have one… I know, I’ve got to fix that but really what could a pcp do? I have a pain management dr for my back but they tend to almost ignore my tn :frowning: and they’re impossible to get ahold of. My back meds are gone… I took them for my face  sigh. Thank you though for the comment.

Go to ER

print off on pain face info tab for ER

Tell them you need pain relief

And a topical lidocaine to go home with!!

Sounds good KC!!!

I suffered greatly thinking the ER couldn't help, but i wish i would have gone.
