Hi anyone on trileptal I want to know how you take your trileptal do you take it 2 times a day or 4 times a day and how much you are taking I was taking 300 Mg 4 times a day total of 1200 mg a day and the doctor increased it to 600 mg 4 times a day total of 2400mg side effect too bad tookl it down to 450mg 4 times a day total of 1800 a day side effect still bad
does any one else take it 4 times a day or just 2 times a day and how much do you take a day the side effect seem to be bothering me a lot I am a little freaked out
If this is typed wrong that is because the side effect are bad
A pharmacist is the best for dosages and side effects. It would be worth checking to see if this drug also has a slow release version. Once I switched my Carbamazepine to slow release I had much better coverage. Also didn’t need to suffer thru the distinct highs and lows of the med in my system. Information is power my friend.
Spoke to Pharmacy it solved some of my question Trying to remember how long it takes to get used to side effects had to double now how have the usual dizzy vision headache sick to stomach fatigue unsteadiness over all ICK
I have two schedules depending on severity of attacks. It's either starting from 150mg or 300mg and building to 4 times a day. In case I need medication I start from 75mg anyway and build up, due to side effects (sleepy, tired, liver problems), but I consider Trileptal best as it leaves me pretty gathered and able to think. Most important thing ever is to start meds as early as possible when suspicious sensations start. After several days on 75mg now I have no side effects (apart from liver discomfort) and can stop.
Had severe allergic reaction to trileptal and had to stop taking increased my gabapentin from 2400 mg to 3600 mg and he changed my antidepressent to cymbalta it is not working only have been on this dose for a couple of days no talking liquid only with a lot of pain Thank you for your responses
