Tramadol for TN Pain

Hi Family!

It's been a while since I've been on the forum but since I'm in an episode of HORRIBLE pain I thought I let you guys know what I have stumbled upon. I'm hoping someone has tried Tramadol for pain and has also found that it works. I'm currently on 1800mg of Carbatrol and I'm have some excruciating breakthrough pain. At first I tried Balcofen but I think I became immuned to it so I switched up to Tramadol. When I tell you about 20 minutes of taking it the pain subsided tremendously. Even as I'm typing right now, I've taken it and the pain is completed gone.

Another issue I'm wondering about and if anyone else pain kicks in late in the evening. My pain does. During the day it's somewhat bearable with the Carbatrol, but at night...OMG. The pain goes not to another level but to another dimension. For 5 nights it seems as the nerve is being pressed on and the pain last for about 3 hours straight; easing at times and sometimes not. So for the past two nights I tried the Tramadol and after about 20 min. I feel relief.

Please let me know if anyone else has found Tramadol to ease your pain.

Yes, I have used it and it has worked. I have never tried Balcofen. What is that? How much did you used to take?

Balcofen is a muscle relaxer. I only took it as needed but I understand some people actually take it on a regular basis to the extent that they must be weaned off of it. It was prescribed to me at 10mg.
