Has anyone tried Tramadol for intense surprize attacks?

It doesnt seem to be that effective. Has anyone had experience with it?

Tramadol has done nothing for me. The problem with most analgesics is they work on the site of pain (like paracetamol/acetaminophen, NSAIDs etc) which is why they don't work for nerve pain ... the only thing that seems to work on nerve pain is opiates because they work on the actual pain receptors in the brain. Even then, sometime opiates don't seem to work for people.

Tramadol has worked for me. I have taken a variety of pain medications and this is the first one that helps. I am also on Lyrica & Baclofen so maybe it is a combo of the meds. I only use it occasionally since the other meds control the pain pretty good. It just goes to show you that everyone reacts different to medications.

Tramadol has been a Godsend for me. It's not that it gets rid of the pain. It's just that I don't seem to care any more. I think it relaxes me enough so that I don't make the pain worse by clenching my teeth or crying.

I only take it occasionally though, when I can't stand the pain any more. It makes me kind of high.

I'm not on anything else at the moment because I had bad reactions to everything so far. So I am having a really hard time. I'm so thankful for the Tramadol. I'm dreading the day it no longer has an affect on me.

That is the perfect way to describe it. It just calms you enough that you can deal with and are not consumed with the pain.
