I was wondering if there is anyone online suffering with TN in their teenage years? I'm nearly 18, and have been suffering with TN since I was 13. Struggling enormously with no one in my age group with this condition? any advice would be great xx
As far as I know, there is no group at Living with TN which is specifically dedicated to teens. However, a demographics study that I did three years ago found that about a third of the membership was age 30 or younger, and if I recall correctly there were at least 30 to 50 out of 1800 that I profiled, who were age 20 or younger. If you don't get replies to your inquiry, you might want to contact Ben Munoz or Scott Orn to ask if they can run an analysis of the member database to identify people you might talk with in a dedicated group.
Alternately, be aware that there IS a teens with TN group on Facebook, I believe affiliated with the US Facial Pain Association. If you'd like, I will go dig out a link to their FB page.
