Symptoms with thunderstorms

Hi everyone. Because I'm newly diagnosed, when strange things happen, I'm not sure if it's a normal symptom of TN or something more I should be concerned about. We recently had a thunderstorm go through and for about ten minutes, I felt like I had spiders crawling all over my face with tingling, and tingling down my arms, as well as pressure in my ear. It's better now although I'm extremely tired. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this, and if so, how did you cope with it until it passed? Thank you for your input.

Hi Mystie,
I’ve never experienced what you’re describing but have found that when low pressure systems come through, my symptoms worsen.
Hope you are well, Mimi

Thank you, Mimi. I'm finding that most weather changes affect my symptoms. It's all so strange but each day I'm learning more and more what triggers my symptoms. Thank you for your response. Wishing you a good day.

When storms are coming, I always get the tingly feelings. I think it's when the barometric pressures drop. I just kept on doing what I normally do and take my meds as scheduled.

Thanks for your reply. It's very helpful to learn how others cope and the symptoms they have, especially when you're a newly diagnosed like I am. I appreciate anything others can pass along.

Sometimes a long hot shower will help when the strange pains come a calling with the weather.

Barometric pressure changes always give me extra pain and pressure in my head. Especially with the ear on the same side as my TN. I use ice packs on my ear to help. Most times nothing makes it better. It's real.
