Swelling on Lyrica?

Has anyone had any serious swelling of their ankles leading to the swelling to their legs (calf and shins) while on Lyrica? My legs and ankles feel tigh when moving. I don’t mean like a little swelling but a lot, my ankles look like softballs right now, and my lower legs are turning into sausages. If I press my finger into the swollen area it leaves a divot for a log time. I think it’s called pitting from what I saw when I googled about this. It happened over night it seems. I plan on calling the doctor in the morning. It terrorizes me he will take me off Lyrica since this one of the few drugs I’ve been able to tolerate that actually helps. So does anybody know about lyrica and swelling?

Damn it! Why can my body just not be able to take these damn drugs and not flip out! This is not fair at all. I am so tired of not being able to take these darn drugs without something happening so dang quickly. It’s getting so old. It’s not fair I’m not eligible for surgery or injections for this and my only option is medications. Damn medications and damn my body’s reactions to them. End of hissy fit on this for now

I have noticed that I am puffier overall on Lyrica. I am relatively slim, but my clothes just fit tighter, etc. The swollen feet is a known side effect, so check in with your dr. and maybe you'll just have to weigh this against the benefits. Maybe there's another drug they can add, but you know how that goes. Hope your dr. can help you.

I'm with you on everything you say here, it sucks! Earlier this year I developed serious side effects from another drug that was working ok for me (with the Lyrica), and it was pretty devastating to have another option taken out of the equation. I am on Day 5 of being in significant pain every minute that I'm not sleeping, and it is tough. Particularly when my family needs me and I just have to keep going.

I had weight gain on Lyrica and some puffiness in my legs, the worst was the Tegretol, my legs swelled and the pain was so bad there were days I couldnt walk at all. I still have twitching in them when I lay down, and am hoping the damage wasnt permanent. I am off both of those drugs now, and my weight already dropped some and my legs feel better but not great yet
