Still doing ok.
Woke up this morning with a banger of a headache. Got up and made coffee and within an hour it was pretty much gone. I can feel on the right side of my head the stiffness or numbness yet, but not to much pain with that. Bumped my head on a rather large tree branch this morning. Scared the heck out of me! I was just adjusting one of those plastic chairs. Just didn't see it. So we need to be real careful out there people. All I was doing was watching my wife plant the garden. She laughed, then yelled at me. :)
Been a week to the day. My god time flies. But...no pain.
Hang in there everybody.
I am just soooo happy for you -and your wife. How good for both of you to be getting your lives back.

Who put those trees there?? lol, they are a bugger..glad you are doing well and watch out for low branches!!
ya...I was mad at that darn branch. but if I could cut it down with the chainsaw, I couldn't lift and hall it away. But then again...can't lift the chainsaw either. lol, So it can grow and be happy.
Congratulations! Just want to add that dr's do NOT prepare you well for recovery, so if you have questions, don't be afraid to bother them. Also be prepared, it is a mental and emotional roller coaster so hang in there! You might get a little jolt here or there, it's just the nerve healing. I totally freaked when it happened to me. I thought it was all coming back, but no, gone in a day and a half. Praying you have a speedy recovery so you can get back to pre-TN life!! So happy for you!
We're all thankful for your successful surgery. It gives us hope.
Yay ... I wish you pain free days from now on ... so happy to hear it was a success :)
Come to think of it...the Doctor's really don't prepare you for the "after life" as much as I thought. It's good to hear your info on recovery tina h276.
Thanks all for the kind words...and back at ya!
Hey, I hope your MVD lasts you forever and ever!!! I am so jealous of those of you who had the MVD and it worked!!! Like you've probably seen on some of my previous posts mine lasted ONLY 2 WEEKS. How disappointing that was!! The Glycerol Rhizotomy at least lasted a few years. I wish they could just totally destroy the nerves. I wouldn't even care if half my face were numb. Numb is better than pain anyday!!! Hopefully that'll be a procedure that they will do around here as I think I've seen it has been done elsewhere in the country. Sheila
So sorry for you...One can only hope they come up with something to rid us with this horrible thing. Ya know?...I would rather have half my a face numb and have no pain than have to live with meds and the unability to function on a daily basis. It would affect my job, driving, and eating.
I truly wish you the best of luck!
Bob, I just read your recap and I am so hopeful for your complete healing from TN due to the MVD surgery. I will continue to pray for you and please keep me updated. Get 100% better and I send you positive thoughts for a speedy recovery, my friend. God bless you.
