Hello, its been a while since I have been on this site. I had MVD surgery Jan 17, 2011. At that time they cut the nerve which left my face partially numb. I still have spasms around my right eye and some needle pain in my cheek on occassion. I feel like the shooting pain is always there but I do not get the sharp unbearable pains that were once there. I worry every day that it will return. Is there anyone out there that has had the nerve cut and if so how are you doing. After surgery they suggested that I get back on tegretal to help with the spasms and light pain but it made me have constant migranes so I am now medicine free. It is easier to deal with the burning, spasms and slight pain without the migranes.
