State Disability california

Hi,

I was diagnosed with TN in 2011, i was doing well with 900mg Gabapentin until jan 2014. I had a very bad attack at the end of jan and my meds were doubled with some help with the pain. It made me disabled to work, so i filed to the short term disability insurance with the state. The pain has been fluctuating over time since then, there are days with no pain and some with lots of pain. Currently i am on 2100mg of gabapentin and 100mg balcofen 3 times a day. I am also trying the upper cervical chiropractor. I try to live my life normal and tough it out even during the worse painful days. I try to take care of my kid( picking up from school, taking him to sports), and taking care of other household chores as I think being busy helps me take my mind away from pain, and i am determined to not let it take everything away from me. My husband recently watched some show about EDD catching people who defraud them by sending private investigator behind them to follow them, and he is worried about me getting in trouble as i look completely normal to people who don't know anything about me having this condition. I can't return to work as i was laid off in march and i have to look for a new work, and pain being bad sometimes i don't think i will be able to hold the new job if i find one. Has anyone ever filed to disability insurance with california state and ever worried about being proven a fraud? what did you do to ease the stress about this matter? The stresssing about is also making the pain worse recently.

Thanks

Deepa
