CAN YOU GET DISABILTY BUT, DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY IF THATS IN CASE
AM NOT GOING THAT FAR THEY DENIED ME NOW THEY SEND ME TO A FEDERAL COURT
IM SCARED I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THIS CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN PLZ!!!
i was wondering the same thing I have not applied but i know people that r on it for depression(really) why is it so hard for people like up that live with pain everyday
Unless you get a lawyer going in, you are going to be denied.
That is pretty much what I have always heard around here. I
have never applied for SS disability, but have seen a lot of
people be denied and then approved at a later date, after getting
a lawyer. I have also heard (just hearsay) that a lawyer won't take the
case until you have been denied because they then take the case on
contingency and get 1/3 to 1/2 of your back payment. Most people
who need disability can't afford a lawyer upfront, so there you go.
I have an acquaintance who was blessed enough to have brothers
who could afford her the best of doctors..I think she had some
Mitochondrial disorder. Anyway, armed with the diagnosis of those
doctors and a lawyer, she was approved immediately.

If you are at the point that meds don't help much and you are in pain a lot and it keeps you from functioning at a job, you should be able to get it. You probably WILL be denied at first..........I think they deny most everyone the first time. Then get an attorney and try to get it approved. Best of luck to you!
