Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone else experiences pain in the temple area along with the TN pain from the third branch? I have a burning, sharp lightening pain when speaking and recently this temple area when speaking as well.

Hi,
I do. The whole side of my face will hurt sometimes. I also get a lot of tingling, numbness and spasms in that area. I have it in all three branches on my left side. Do you get eye pain or problems too?
I do get some eye 'numbness' or just a weird feeling; also some blurred vision in the side with the TN
Yes pain in the temple area and recently lightning pain just anytime. Sometimes my scalp feels like it's on fire.
so many symptoms at different times. It feels like im being stabbed in mostly my left eye and now a little with my
right eye. The rain and cold days can trigger , when I get excited in conversations that's another trigger.
I get this as well, not so much with speaking but all the time. It used to get worse every month with my period. Now it just comes and goes as it pleases. According to my pain doc it is the auriculotemporal nerve and it runs directly in front of your jaw or temporomandibular joint. That is why it gets irritated when you talk. Hope this info helps and I wish you relief.
Blessed No Matter What,
I know, just getting into a good conversation starts the burning pain that travels to the temple with burning and cold, pin prickling sensation which of course evolves into a headache. Anything that brings 'adrenaline' is hurtful including exercise which of course is also one of the best things to reduce stress.
