Has anyone else had their nerve cut and if so what was your recovery like? I’m 6 weeks out and I’m still having a lot of pain around my eye (they said they couldn’t numb it there), on my cheekbone, and between the corner of my eye and my hair. I’m numb from the cheekbone down, so no pain there. I’m soooooo tired a lot of the time. I’m sleeping a lot. Of course I’m really depressed so that isn’t helping. I’m getting bad pressure headaches all over my head, but they are less frequent than when I first cam come. This is e third time in 20 months they have gone in and messed with my nerve. I had game knife in between my last mvd in February and this operation also. Am I crazy? Should I be doing better? I started to wean of the tegretol very very slowly. The whole point of cutting the nerve was to get me off the meds. Could the meds be making me feel like this? I’m on a lot of gabapentin still, 900mg four times a day. I just want to know if anyone else has been through this.

What kind of rhizotomy did you have? Glycerol, radio frequency ablation or balloon compression rhizotomy?
