Regarding a good neurologist/neuro surgeon

Hello out there,

Is there ahyone in the Portland or Eugene Oregon area who knows of a good neurologist and neuro surgeon.My neurologist here ( this is my 3rd), recommended that I see a neuro surgeon in Portland named Dr. Burchiel.

Apparently, he is known as the good surgeon in that specialty of TN.

I did see a neuro surgeon here in Eugene, Dr. Hauck, who is supposed to also be very good, but wanted a second opinion.

Any ideas or feed-back.

I would highly recommend Dr Jorge ( pronounces it George.) Eller, at Peace health in Springfield. Dr Burichel trained him. He was also the attending on my first MVD, and I can not say enough good things about him.

I am seeing a Dr Modah in Vancouver WA. He is with the Rebound Clinics at Peacehealth and Legacy hospitals. He is awesome. :-)

Please explain in your particular case, why you feel he was so good, Dr. Modah?

What are the issues you have had,if I may ask?

I looked at his credentials and it doesn't say anything about treating trigeminal neuralgia.

Did you go see him for that?

I called his office and asked his receptionist if he treats TN and she wasn't sure, which was odd to me.

Then she said she would ask and then said he did.

Did he do a TN surgery on you?
