Recent MVD

Hi, This is Jamie, Angela’s fiance. As most of you are aware, she had her MVD August 4th. They found the compression immeditely, and she was sent to ICU to recover. However…She had serious complications that had her staying in the Critical Care ward for 15 days, We almost lost her twice. From respiratory distress and a CSF leak in her head. An emergency procedure was performed to repair the leak, and re sew her dura over again completely as she was awake. There was no time for the OR…it was done in her room. Then they performed a lumbar drain, sewed that up tight, and she started leaking from her spine as well. It was quite an ordeal. She was finally released just this past Wed evening after her nagging and begging to go home, I don;t blame her, lol. Anyways, I brought her back to the ER here in Maine because she was leaking from her spine, and head again. They reinforced the stitches, and applied more gauze and started her on IV antibiotics, with bacterial meningitis being their main concern. The good news is that so far, there has been absolutely no TN pain whatsoever! Hers was not a cut and dry case, so she will have a long road ahead of her for recovery. Thanx to everyone who prayed for her recovery:) And please do not be discouraged to go through with an MVD if offered to you. Every case is different, and with time she will finally have her life back:) Please continue to pray for her recovery if you could please. Thanx so much, Jamie
