DMcGinnis asked a very interesting question about combining oxycarbezepine with salt, specifically potato chips. Now, when I hear the words "potato chip", I go into a frenzy. I dip them into salsa and all kinds of toxic chemical goop. I slide them into sandwiches and enjoy licking the salt and oil off my fingers. I love the sound of "crunch"Sometimes, I gently put one in my mouth and feel it soften.
Salt and vinegar, rosemary, sour cream and onion, jalapeno, garlic, thick chips or thin, salt and pepper, peppercorn: the variety of "The Chip" is endless and I love them all. Anytime, anywhere. (except at the movies,0f course.)
A confession: when someone asks me for a chip, I squeeze the bag near the top so they can't get their fingers too far into the bag
So grab a bag, and a bowl of oxycarbezepine dip ( a little won't hurt but check with "Red" first) And yes, when I first moved to California and heard computers needed chips, I immediately ran into my backyard and planted potatoes thinking I'd be a millionaire by the end of the week.
I know this was posted in Feb but I would like to hear the answer. I'm not having the same side effect but can't stand food I once loved. Can't eat a lot because of nausea. Just curious
For several years before I found the correct diagnosis and pain control., I hated salads. I hated them because they were so painful to eat. Anything that required chewing was off the menu unless I was in denial or trying to beat back The Monster. The Monster usually won. So I wonder if the foods you now hate and causes nausea are the same choices that are now,too painful to eat. I just came home from a delicious dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant. Delectable soft food: lentils, split yellow beans, potatoes, carrots and onions, cooked chard and spinach eaten with big spongy bread and a cup of spiced tea and no pain. There are many food suggestions on our site for TNers to chew on (boo-but I couldn't resist, sorry). Good luck. You can return to happy eating.
