Seeking inputs and thanks in advance.
My MVD failed after 18 months. The vicious pain returned. I had Gamma Knife at Tufts in Boston in Dec. 2014.
The crazy, vicious pain has not returned, but I sill get some electrical shocks when I brush my teeth. Not every time, but they do happen.
The left side of my face, has a minor burning sensation at times.
Is this normal 3 months post GK?
Would love to hear from others who had GK before me.

I wish I could help but my Gamma Knife did not seem to work. I will say almost 1 1/2 years after it I started to feel a new burning sensation I did not have. I keep telling my husband it feels like someone is peeling the flesh off my face.
Dont know if it is the same thing or caused by it or not... Sorry not more help.

Thank you for your reply. I am not experiencing any burning sensation at the present time. I do have semi constant pulling (for the lack of a better word) in the back of my mouth and along the lower gums. Still taking 300 mg of oxacarbazepine 3 times daily. The electrical like sparks are a concern. They are triggered by tooth brushing and rinsing. Calling my neuro in Boston on Monday for consultations. What an horrific trip this has been!
