Pain bending over

I’ve noticed a lot recently that when I bend over it it almost always causes a shock. Has this ever happened to anyone else. I’m just assuming that while you’re bent over, the blood rushes to your head causing a lot of extra pressure.

Hi, I thought this was in my head. When I bend down to pick something up etc the pain shocks sharply through my face, almost making me dizzy. I can't stay in the position for very long! As you say, could be the extra pressure from the blood, would make sense!

I get this occasionally too. When I do have to bend down I try to keep my head up ( not looking down ) and this seems to minimize the sudden onset of pain. I do forget sometimes and whammo I’m hit with sudden shocking pain. I also get a wave of dizziness on occasion too.

Me too. I also try to bend down with my head looking forward not down. I have often felt like it is something to do with the movement of my jaw.

Yes, I have experienced this pain when bending down. What causes this, I wonder?

Me too.

I've experienced this too, especially when I bend over quickly. A lot of times my nerve will warn me with a small jolt and I immediately stand up - but slowly. This usually stops it before the full blown electrical jolts start. I haven't tried keeping my head level (like others have suggested) and bending down slowly...it seems like a good thing to try.

If I had these symptoms I really would want my neuro to consider vascular-veins arteries etc. in my neck, although age related boney changes could cause this. I would want to rule out vascular changes, although unlikely, but I would want to ask the question.

It happens constantly now to me. I try to avoid bending over because it sends me into a flair up.. I thought I was crazy. I am so glad that you said something. Hopefully we can find a way to not bend over.. HA HA HA/

No Bending over for me also. I didn't know that your lips are so dry from all the medicine. Along with Dry mouth. I am keeping the stores open with all I buy to help with TN. Dizzy spells come on strong with nausea. Any body having these dizzy spells

Me too, I just realised I was keeping my head up while gardening. this morning.

I've always wondered if lower blood pressure would help.

Do you have hotness and tightness in my head?

Can you feel each pulse through your ear, only the pulse not the pain?

I feel like I can hear the Nerve pulsing against whatever its hitting.

I have type 2, although very annoying, I wonder if its as strong as many of you.

Happens to me!

This was the first sign for me (leaning over = very sharp pain) that something was up - 3 weeks ago. I also had a very tender upper lip (just one part of it) and tender side of my nose and across the cheek. I also had tooth pain so off to the dentist I went. Had an examination with tapping on teeth etc, xrays and a scan but she couldn't find anything wrong. Gave me antibiotics for sinus issues (never had them in my life) and that was it. Until this weekend when I still had pain (not as bad) so it was either another dentist trip or Dr google. Found the symptons for TN and went to my doctor who agreed with Dr Google. So now I'm really scared of what might happen in the future - ugh! Has anyone else found that they started off slow? And how long did that last for?

It did seem to start off slow for me.

First an ache in my nose for months, then right temple and top of the head. At some stage the nerve to the right of my nose.

six months from rubbing my temple to very painful head then OMG I got numb, dead, tingling in my mouth.

I was really bad for maybe 6 months. I'm feeling like after 3 years its stable. Not even sure if TN2 is what I have. I just cannot believe it could be that.
