What OTC products offer you some relief? I am VERY new to all of this but so far I have found minor (very minor and short lived) relief from salonpas patches (ones in the green box) and Ibuprofen helps a tiny bit. Also tiger balm (the thin lotion form) helps for a bit. I think so far the salonpas is providing the most relief. Only problem is, it is making my eyes water like crazy (patch is on my lower jaw area.) Any other suggestions?
Oh and very short term relief for the pain in my gums and teeth, orajel helps a tiny bit. It just doesn't last long at all.
I found Voltaren Emugel works a wee bit on jaw pain. Or other capsaicin cream--I need to try Tiger Balm. Also sometimes a hot water bottle or hot bath for the cheek and teeth. But then popsicles for my tongue.
Funny you mentioned SalonPas. When I was still working (constant stress at work) sometimes I would put those on my face at work and I worked with the public, lol. When we have pain, well who cares what people think, right? Ice cream usually helps take the edge off, too.
