Numbness in foot?

Ok I have had the worst facial attack yet and im going on 4 hours of unbearable pain, I cant kill it with any medication in the medicine cabinet. The weird thing im experiencing is my left foot is numb......not blue or cold to the touch but numb. Could this be related at all? I know it sounds weird but im confused on wth is going on!

I doubt it is related to TN unless it's a side effect of the meds Heather. Although it is a weird condition.............................

Heather, could you list the meds you are on and doses per day, please? I'll do a bit of fishing to see if other peripheral numbness is listed as a side effect.

Regards, Red

I take 200mg of tegretol per day and 5/325 hydrocodone one to 3 times daily, but I haven't taken the hydrocodone for 2 days due to my prescription being out.

Heather,

I occassionally get numbeness in various parts of my body. It doesn't last very long (minutes). That was one of my symptoms when I went for my very first neuro appt and was diagnosed with TN. I did note that it got a lot better when I went on the TN meds but its still there once in a while.

Heather, your med dose levels aren't high enough to expect peripheral numbness. There may be something besides TN going on. For that matter, your Tegretol is at a very low dose as well. Best to talk with your Neuro about your "occasional" numbness that shifts around in your body. That's still a symptom, but just not of TN.

Thank you and I dont have a Neuro yet :) Im working on sorting all of this out. Hopefully its just something simple and not another freakish disease! Kind of freaked myself out with google since I kept running into MS when I searched numbness of feet! I learned a long time ago to stay off of the internet when im worried, but I cant help myself.
