I have had TN for 3 yrs in the past week I have had numbness on my affected side. Has anyone had changed like this? My upper teeth check and side of nose are numb.
I get this too. I've had ATN for almost 2 years now. I have burning, aching pain 24/7, some days worse than others and I get the sudden shocks too but always a constant numb feeling on right side of my face now. I became aware of it about 3 months ago. Sometimes lately I've caught myself drooling out of the right side of my mouth slightly too - ugh! My upper teeth on the right side also feel numb, and like something is pushing on them most of the time. You're not alone!
The short answer? Yep.
I had the numbness after my first episode. The neurologist said it is just part of it and it would probably go away after a few days. It did. I haven't had any more episodes of pain in 3 months, but have had the numbness a couple of times. Goes away after a few days. Very strange.
