May you be pain free

Can you have your PCP call in lidocaine patches for you so that you can get thru the pain until a neuro helps with something else?

Before you even go and make an appt. with neuro :

I would call that office and see how many TN patients the neuro has.

If only 2-3, perhaps you should look elsewhere

What is it you are looking for? To try another med? To investigate a procedure?

Since we are only 12 in 100,000 it can be like a needle in a haystack to find neuro with good amount of TN experience.

Somebody else will chime in soon!

Kc l'm looking to try different meds my pcp sent me here a referral because he doesn't no to much so he said he would have them call me...thank you kc

You can help your treatment get better faster - if you really learn about this disease and all your options.... Have you read "Striking Back" by Dr. Ken Casey????

Janice:

There is a section on the Mayo Clinic website that offers up a lot of advice about choosing and interviewing a neurologist. I happened to come across it just last night, which is why I remember it. Here's a link to that part of their TN Resource Area:
