Nerve pain in other areas beside the face

Hi everyone,

Can someone please let me know if they have had nerve pain elsewhere… I am experiencing sharp pains in my neck on the side I mostly have the TN pain as well as my right index finger and in my right elbow. It is extremely painful and in the exact same spot in those places each time. I am going to ask my doctor but it has just started happening within the last couple of days. Any info would be great, thanks.

I have read about index pain finger on here before!! So you are not alone! I haven't experienced that..yet.

Who knows what will be next with this stupid ailment...

Update: trend seems to be continuing and I am now also having pain in my nerves in my right leg and foot. Does anyone else experience this? Thank you to those who have already replied - this is a great community.

I don't have leg or hand but I suffer from occipital nerve pain too... along with cluster headaches... I go to a massage therapist for my neck and shoulder they don't have nerve pain but seem to ache just as much....so whether it's linked together idk

I have nerve pain all over my body. The doctors say it is not fibromyalgia…my mother suffered from this same complaint but she did not have tn. Don’t know if the two are related myself. Lyrica has helped with my tn, but not the other pains. They feel like someone has a voodoo doll of me that they are sticking pins through. Gets really bad at times, and is getting worse as time goes on.

I have occipital nerve pain and im due for my first massage session tomorrow. My nerve block has done very little will update on pain levels x

I have lower back and upper thigh nerve pain start up in the past few days. I haven’t had this type of pain in years. Not since recovering from a car accident. I’m curious why this is flaring up for me now.

I had pelvic separation in pregnancy and have suffered with pain in the hip for years. It has flares now and then which feel like the same type of pain, When I lay on my right my hip burns and aches like my face and there is a point on my ear too.

I had the neck/ index finger/down the arm and occasionally leg/ foot too. Always same pathway. I had MVD 12 days ago, both fifth and seventh nerves decompressed, ninth with issues too but we left it untouched for now. I have had a myriad of weird sensations. My advice is to document everything and not let anyone dismiss what you experience.

I have sharp nerve pain in the index finger of the hand on the same side as my TN and much later after diagnosis, read an article about it on Mayo Clinic's website. My neuro knew nothing about it, but kept a copy of the artcle to read..

I've had pain in other head/face areas than I did primarily, in fact, just this morning, was wondering about anyone else. They are not concurrent. Months will go by without some of the areas hurting, but the primary spots are always around.
