For the past 2 weekends, I have noticed that my TN acts up after I take an afternoon nap. Is this because my body thinks it’s bedtime (aka time for pills)? Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? I have had some really tough weeks lately at work, so those naps have been a necessity!
Perhaps it is the act of lying down ... I know for me if I'm not on medication that's working or no medication at all lying down sets me off big time. I know quite a few people on here have attacks from lying down.
Hello… I know in
My case before I was pu on medication I was being woken up almost every night with pain right out of a dead sleep … I haven’t mapped as of Yet now being on medication but I think the pressure of the pillow or possibly clenching your jaw as u nap may be aggrivating the nerves … Have u tried a mouth guard or softer pillow I find a feather pillow is softer and less pressure for me hope this helps
Hi all - thanks for saying that -
my pain is all day - but i noticed at periods of time lying down can make the pain to cry of.
my strong feeling was it's due to pressure on the neck - face.
i could literarly feel the pressure of mu shoulders through the neck and head.
not much touching the pillow as much as the body pressuring itself.
thanks for sharing.
doesn't that should help with the diagnosis.
i had times i wanted to sleep sitting down.
i also notice - on rare times i can find positions my neck is streching in a wierd way - and my pain decreases so i can lie down with less pain.
I second a feather pillow. If I get sick of lying on the non-TN side you can smush the pillow up so you can lie on your TN side but with the pillow only touching possibly your ear and not your face (depending on if your ear sets you off or not).
