Hello people with Classic TN1 who have had MVD"S how many years have you been pain free after like 0 -10 plus years Ect. and if Dr. Casey did your surgery can you make a note of the when you reply
I am going to soon have a MVD and am just collecting information on how long it works for.
I had my MVD with Dr. Casey in March 2012. I was officially diagnosed in September 2011. There was no way I could imagine living on those meds for the rest of my life. I needed to do something so I researched as much as I could and lucky for me Dr. Casey's office is located in my state. He was wonderful. Lately I have been feeling a little off. I have been getting some ear pain and just some weird feeling in my jaw again. I am praying that this is not coming back. The ear pain was one of the first symptoms that I had. If it does come back, Dr. Casey will be the first person on my list to contact. Even if I only get a few years out of the MVD surgery, it was well worth it. I would go through it all again even if I knew it would only last a year. That would be a year of no pain. Best of luck to you!
I had MVD last Nov, just coming up on my year anniversary! I have been 100% pain free since surgery and was Med free as of April (I was on a very high dose of triliptal and also baclofen)! Wishing you the best for your surgery!
