MVD comments please with atypical

I am planning the MVD, no date yet as I just had a rhizotomy with lack of succes.. Yeah, now I have acute pain 24/7. I did have chronic pain, but now it is chronic blinding pain. That does sound dramatic, but I am willing to have an open craniotomy at this point. I am planning to go with Dr. Michael Brisman in NY. Any feedback welcome. Thanks for reading

Please let me know how the surgery goes in Ny by that MD as I am in 24/7 pain as well starting to take days off due to pain ,have changed to a private duty nurse bc I can’t leave my glasses on too long ,and the migraines I get over the coarse of the day …Type 1 and 2 agggh

I saw Dr, Jeffrey Brown , who is in the same practice as Dr. Brisman, for both of my MVDs( I have bilateral TN 1 and TN2). I have nothing but good things to say about both the practice and Winthrop hospital! I think you would be in very good hands within this neurosurgical practice.
Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
Best regards,
Christine

Brisman was on the Medical Advisory Board at the US TN Association for years. I've met him a couple of times in TNA National Conferences, and heard him speak. I don't know his individual outcomes statistics, but he is certainly experienced, and seems well grounded in his seminar interactions with patients.
