Some patients are sensitive to the cold and wind that come during the winter months. You are not alone; some people have an easier time during the summer, although the large storm systems that come with low pressure fronts seem to trigger flare-ups for some.

Please I would like to know also, I've had Gamma knife, MVD and everything, just started up again, in pain. I can't figure out like someone said, why do you go in remission in summer but in winter you are deep in pain? If you have a nerve wrapped around a vein, why does it not pain you all the time. ? Just doesn't make sense.

Hello Jimmy, I would have removed the root canal tooth long time ago, process of elimination type of thing. I have removed 6 of my implants so far and in the process to remove the rest of them. As I said, the problem is not direct nerve injury because the pain would have been continues and would have started right away. It is a nerve compression that comes and goes. I never felt the pain while I was chewing, I felt the pain hours later, the compression works something like chain reaction. Is the root canal on a molar? Again if I were you I would have the tooth removed long time ago.......cheers

Yes it was a molar. Upper right side. Since you've removed 6 implants I'd be interested to know if you are having TN pain now. If you are, is it the same level? Also, when are you having the rest of them removed?

The Inferior nerve pain (branch of the mandibular trigeminal nerve) was gone after I removed the lower molars causing the pressure, at least that's where I was feeling the pain originated. This pain was the worse pain I felt in my life, electric and stabbing originating from the molars and covering the entire right half of my face. Still have pain originating from the maxillary(upper jaw) molars but not as strong as the Inferior one. Still on 600mg Gabapertine with no pain, waiting for all the implants to be removed and then I will taped down the med.

I'm glad this is what it turned out to be for you. At least the lower pain is gone. Let me know what happens after you get them all removed. When are the other removals scheduled?

2020 update… my mother is still pain free since 2014 Cyberknife procédure …she takes 125mg trileptal as a psychological crutch, only thing, when it is really windy, she feels ‘activity’ in her jaw, but if she covers her head and neck, she is fine…just thought I would put this out there…Cheers
