I am wondering about MRI's before surgery. I have seen that several of you have had a successful surgery. Sadly, I have seen that several have not had a successful surgery. I am curious about all who have had surgery. Did you have a special MRI done? Did the specialized MRI's show a blood vessel compressing on the nerve or not until they actually saw the problem in surgery?
My Mom's surgeon did not think surgery would help her since he did not see the actual compression on the nerve. The diagnosis is still the same...GPN. But for now... no surgery.
It is so difficult to watch her go through this. The pain is constant. She has lost so much weight from not eating. I am so concerned.
