So the pain is starting to tier its way back in. My neuro retired but on his last day he told me to up the carbamazepine to 800mg/day from 600. Still on 900mg of gabapentin too. I noticed the side effects came back with that upped dosage (weak body, dizzyness) but I am thankful I haven’t gotten the insatiable hunger side effect!

i couldn’t stand gabapentin… Which has left ne with few other choices. Have you tried amyiltrptaline? Spelling* I really hope you get the right meds soon.

Right now I think it’s about dosage for me. The gabapentin seems to be ok for now. I’m going to take it as long as possible. Thanks for the advice about amyil, I will keep it in mind if things get intolerable.
I forgot to mention Lyrica (Pregabilin) is apparently 4x times stronger than Neurontin (Gabapentin). You probably already know this but just in case.

uh oh, my doc didn’t say anything about getting blood work done… that’s unnerving to me. he retired end of december. I think i will look for someone who is NOT in his office.
