Medication, sleep, nightmares

I've been noticing a pattern since I've been on oxycontin. On the weekends when I don't set my alarm I sleep for 16+ hours and have the worst nightmares that end with me saying "F" it and ODing by taking all my oxy in-dream to escape the dream. Then I wake up all stressed out.

Bizarre... The other part is by sleeping so long I don't take my morning oxy on time so when I wake up my face is killing me because the previous dose has worn off hours before I wake up.....

Anyone ever have anything like this? So weird, and it's every weekend. During the week is fine.

Also seems like the oxycontin is the only thing helping the ATN. When it wears off the pain is so bad even though I'm still on max dose of nortriptyline and cymbalta.

Hi
I’m an addition specialist. This is a classic drug dream panic. It is fear

Is it more likely from the narcotics or anti-depressants? My reflexes trigger randomly from the nortriptyline, more when I'm asleep, but the nightmares just started a couple months ago and typically occur on the weekends when I sleep in. Never had them like this...

Hi,

I recently started Lamictal on top of Trileptal and clonidine and I right away the nightmares started. They are horrible and many mornings, I think I can no longer stay on the medication. Since starting the medication, unless I set an alarm I can sleep hours over when I normally wake up.

I’m sorry to hear you are going through
