I have terrible balance and have had it since being diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation. When I saw a neurosurgeon last week, he did the usual testing with standing on one foot, walking heel to toe, and I failed miserably! I joking mentioned that I fear being pulled over by police for a traffic violation and failing the sobriety test, the doctor said I should get a Medical Alert bracelet. I do often get dizzy spells from Gabapentin also. My questions for you all are, does anyone wear one, and if so what is written on it? Neurological disorder, balance problems? I did not see anything appropriate on the websites where you purchase them.
Thanks for any and all input!
Christine
That is a really good question. I really need to start wearing one for this and the meds I am allergic to. It is so complex and my meds have been changing so much that I am at a loss as to whether I put out the money now for it or try and wait for the next round. Of course this has been going on for 3 years so I suppose I should bite the bullet and get it even though I may have to change it later on.
Ohhhh....I just found the one I am going to get. It is a Medical Alert USB Flash Drive Silicone Bracelet. That would allow me to change it as I change meds. I could attach all the current medical info, too. I like it.
Could I have a link to where those are purchased?

There are some that are more fashionable if you are looking for jewelry like, too.

I think I like that one better.
I got mine from Lauren’s hope, they are pretty and practical.
I also keep a list of all my doctors, family etc contact details in my wallet with a detailed list of meds
