Hello everyone -
I was reading today that some people wear medic alert bracelets for TN. Is that a common thing? And should I get one?
I'm two months into my diagnosis and treatment.
I'd appreciate any comments.
Thanks!

Most reserve wearing those for life threatening conditions.....
BUT we do have a card here - for your wallet -
for times that you cannot speak during pain - like trip to ER or any other situation.
These little medical bracelets hardly hold any letters - so describing your pain and you cant talk, and have TN and are on this or that med - would take too much room.

If the card doesn't work, there are bracelets that have a USB in them so you don't need to worry about anything but water.
Many thanks for your suggestions...and your very quick replies. It is great having this forum as a resource when we have questions. Have a fabulous weekend!
I believe the USB is the way to go. I wear one. With all the meds I am on and the fact that they change so frequently, I think it is very important that I have something to alert medical personnel that I have a serious condition that they need to check before they start administering anything that could be potentially harmful. Especially because of the narcotics and the Mexilitine. I also am allergic to certain meds and this is listed along with all my health info, doctors info and emergency contact info. It is the size of a watch and can be engraved. They also have some that are made to be water resistant. If I can't talk because of the TN or any other reason, they have the info they need at their fingertips no matter where I am and I can update it each time there is a change.
where can you get the usb thing, I dont see it at the FPA site anymore?
Also anyone know of an editable card?
