I really feel like my chiropractor helped more than anything in my first episode of TN in Jan. I was able to see him 2-3 times a week then. He uses the "hands on" technique. This second time, I just think I didnt' get to him quick enough and frequently enough before things got bad again. I do get some pain relief after ultrasound treatments and an upper back and neck adjustment. Usually C1 and C2 are the problem, but occasionally C3 and C6 are. I definitely recommend chiropractic care. I have seen it help my daughter with CP as well.
My Cranial Chiropractor has relieved so much of my pain i forgot to take my medication ! she works inside my mouth on my head and neck , i have halved my medication which was 1500mg of Carbamazepine a day.
I see a chiropractor but did not know about cranial chiropractors. How long have you had TN? I believe my chiro helps me, but I take meds and have not been able to decrease the dosage so, I don't know which is helping more. I'm glad you're getting relief, Sara.
last wk i went to my chiropractor for my neck ank back i told him i have TN, he is well versed on it.... the next wk i had a break thru pain and had to cancell appt he called and told me he thinks he can help me. so i am hopeful, as i found out my hosp cancelled the contract with my ins. so an operation is out of the question!! unless i change ins co's
