What is the usual way to take to lamictal? After working your way up to 200, does it go up another hundred?
I think I need an increase.

I took Lamictal and started at 50 mg and went up to 400 mg. At 400 mg, Lamictal provide amazing relief, but I had to stop the medication due to side effects.

Once I was at 200 mg, I went up 50 mg a week until I was at 400 mg.
Beth, I take two 100 mg tablets every morning (I took them at 9:00 am), I accidentally took another 100 at 4:00 pm. The pharmacist said I should I be fine. Have you ever heard of anybody doing that?

Hi Liz,
When I was at 300 and 400 mg, I would take half of the dose (150 or 200 mg) at 9 am and the other half (150 or 200 mg) at dinner which was around 5-6 pm. That is similar to what you did today and I never had any problems.

I started on 100 mg of Lamictal twice a day several years ago. I increased that dosage to 200 mg twice a day but did it slowly, in increments of 50 mg. I had no adverse effects as a result.
