Is anyone familiar with the GOODMAN CAMPBELL BRAIN & SPINE in Indianapolis, In

I'm new to this but I have an appointment on 5/29/13 with a Dr. Cohen. I've had the typical problems. Dr.s that misdiagnosed me or told me it was all in my head. Took my dentist to give me a proper dx. My ARNP told me we had to take care of my psych problems before we could treat my pain. Flat refused to order an MRI or refer me. So I called Goodman Campbell and though it is unusual w/o a MRI, they agreed to see me after I explained my problem. Please say a prayer for me.

Wow… I would ask how many TN patients they have. Don’t get talked into any procedures without inquiring here first…

Keep posting

ok kc Dancer kc. They are listed by TNA but not on here. But I will ask. Thanks

If listed on TNA - good!

Come back and tell us what they do!!!

Hi there . . That is the practice that I'm using now. I saw two neurosurgeons there but not Dr. Cohen. I have chose to use Dr. Troy Payner for my MVD when that happens. He is great and has so much experience with TN and MVD surgery. He is a very highly respected surgeon in Indy and has a special interest in TN. I have heard that Dr. Cohen also specializes in TN and it's procedures and surgeries. Dr. Payner recommended though that I wait until I've tried several drugs before having an MVD. I was just diagnosed in January. He set me up with a new Neurologist to manage my care who I will see this Monday. Right now I am on Trileptal at 1800mg and it just is not doing it's job anymore. I have breakthrough pain, often bad, then I up my dose, have bad side effects for a week or more (which are getting more severe as I increase the dose), followed by a day or two of good pain control and then the whole cycle starts again. I need to probably try 2 more meds before my surgery is set. I'm expecting my next medicine trial will come next week. I'm hoping to have my MVD before the end of the year as next year the medical costs will go through the roof with all the healthcare changes. I have hit all my deductibles already this year with my MRIs and all so the surgery would not set us back much in 2013. Best wishes to you and please message me if you have any questions at all. I live in the Indy area.

Yes. I am familiar with that group. I went to see dr Cohen. He was very nice. Report back on your visit. Dr. Cohen will not perform surgery on me since he said that I have type two. My pain is relatively well controlled so I amassing for a bit. Good luck. Christine
