Inner Ear Itch

Hello,

Does anyone else experience inner ear itch? For some time the same side I have TN my inner ear itches. Also the ear pops quit often and aches.

Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same.

I always knew when a flare up was coming when I would have a pulsing in my ear (almost like the feeling when you stand up to quickly from laying down). I had told my neurologist this and she had never heard anyone else with the same symptom so its nice to know I'm not alone with it! Ive never had the itch or ache though. My neurosurgeon could not give me an explanation for it either.

My tn is more on right side so right ear is far worse then left, but both are affected. It starts with deep itching, will also feel the itching in back of throat. That's a sign that the aching is next, which for me feels like the worst ear infection I have ever had, sometimes it only lasts for mins,at times hours. It has become worse over the years.I also have the deep stabbing at times. The weather is my biggest trigger for all. Any bar.pressure change messes with my tn bad. So today has been pretty bad! I hope you find something that helps! If you do please let me know. Please let us all know! I am sure there many more of us with some or more of these same issues. Wishing you the best!

My left side is the bad side. My ear some times is sore , and I get the popping in it. Unsure what it is.have to ask next time what it is all about.

Hi Kelli. I get ear pain that feels like an ear infection at times. But my nostril that burns often will itch also. It isn't the ear, but it is the same sensation. When it isn't hurting it is itching. I don't understand it! I am glad I am not the only one with itchiness, and yet sorry we have to share in this. All the best!

Thank you everyone for the response. I am glad I am not the only one. I have flare ups each time I eat and when I've been speaking for awhile. The shooting pain feels like having a root canal with no numbing and proceeds to the ear. The itching sensation comes and goes, most of the time stays, but the popping is constant. At one time I was referred to an ENT Dr. Nothing found. I have commented to Dr's but have never been told it is part of TN.

Yes! I get the itching in my ears a lot!
