How is your GPN when you have a cold/flu?

Hi all,

Please tell me how is your GPN after an episode of cold, flu..

I just had an episode of tonsillitis and ear infection and OMG...my GPN is at its worst.

I struggle to talk without pain.

I assume because the tissues are still inflamed, they are pinching the nerve.

Its a living hell..

Thank you in advance.

Couldn’t agree with you more… Been where you are and it is miserable. Hang in there. Remember “this too shall pass.”

Yes it was the same for me, as the immune system takes a battering, and your defenses are low. The pain attacks for me were more prevalent at such times, and even coughing could trigger an attack.

After my MVD it became a thing of the past. When I did have a cold/flu, it never felt as bad as when GPN was on my case.

It is a miserable time but allow it to motivate you to have it professionally tended to. It will not fix itself.

Michael

In a word - YES. When I get a "normal" sore throat, the gpn is worse. But it fades back once the cold is gone - plenty of vitamins, tonics and fluids :) Get better soon x

My neuralgia is always bad after a cold. Usually not when the cold is at its worst, but as I am getting better the pain starts.

Hi Virginie, Sorry to hear your feeling so awful - rug up and take care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon xx
