Hot drink/food triggered pain

Hi All,
This discovery is new to me so apologies if you are all aware of this anyhow: I have found that hot food/drink triggered spasms can be immediately reduced (or temporarily abated depending on initial pain level) by sipping a cold or quite cold drink amd holding in the mouth for a second or two…it seems to give the over-excited nerve a ‘slap’ or shock it into re-thinking its errant pain signal. Does this work for amyone else? Alas, in some cases, as seems to be the case in this chameleon foe, it is only temporary…
