Hi,
Sorry, I wasn’t very accurate with what I said about the flashing lights. You know when lights alternate (it actually has nothing to do with lights at all). I’ll get pain in my head area, that will stop for a second, then get the pain in my back. So I should have said it was alternating pain!
I’ve been getting floaters in my eyes for years. I’m in my early 30’s and have been getting those for about ten years, which freaked the living daylights out of me. My neuro hasn’t checked the back of my head, I’ll ask him next time. He usually just touches my face.
I asked for Lyrica, but he said no, not yet. I was on Cymbalta, 90-120 mgs per day. It made me so sick. I had the worst stomach pains. When I came off, it was like the pains went away within a month.
Wow, a tree trunk!! I wouldn’t do that now anymore lol. I just hate that this happened to me. I know we can’t change the past. It happened at work, and I was DX’d almost 2 and a half years later. I used to drive a school bus, while sitting in my bus, a monitor came up to my bus, and thought she’d blast me with ice because I was transferring to another route. What a great person she is isn’t she?
In August of 08, I was finally DX’d. I did a WC claim and it came back denied. I appealed it. I wasn’t able to pass my physical because my BP was high. It finally came down and I was set to go back to work, and they fired me. They told me that because I was in pain, that I wasn’t a good canidate to drive a school bus. In reality, they are mad at me that I appealed my denial. Funny, the lady who threw the ice at me is still an employee. Tells you lots about the company I used to work for.
When I told them it was painful to drive- they wanted me to drive more, as I used to be a dispatcher as well. They thought I was trying to get out of driving the bus all the time. I’m glad that some people actually know the type of pain that I’m going through and that I’m not making it up.
Some people don’t understand and are so selfish!
