Post-MVD into week 10, wearing lidocaine patches for pain of about a 1 or less on scale of 1-10
If my TN1 stays at this level - or higher - can cymbalta by itself be effective?
This may be temporary or permanent - don't know yet.
Someone at my meeting today is on it with lyrica
But I want to know about monotherapy
Thanks!
I don't know about TN pain... however, my mother was recently diagnosed with a hip issue and carpel tunnel syndrome.... she also has some mild depression. The doctor prescribed cymbalta for both issues. I can tell you that she is now pain free a few weeks later. Whether it will work on nerve pain as well, I don't know. However, considering it is used for anxiety issues (a nerve issue) I am guessing that it may work similar to a longer acting anti-anxiety medication. I am going to actually ask my doctor about this when I see him next.
