Do find your tn more active during alergy season ? I am not a doctor . I have wondered if the inflammation of allergies could agerviate the trigeminal neuralgia. Look for thoughts or anyone who has dealt with this issue with their doctor . Just really need some insight
I have always had pain along the sinus cavities in the upper jaw with allergies. I initially thought i had terrible teeth. Not true, just allergies in the sinus which caused pain along that pathway.
My tn is well controlled with tegretol, but this spring I have been feeling ghosts of sensation curving around my jaw as the allergy season has progresses. So I would venture to guess that without the meds my tn would be much more easily set off. That make sense?
