Heat can help

Had a really bad onset yesterday through to today, I think the wind set it off, this time of year and through the winter is always the worst for me.

I used a hot water bottle last night and today instead of my "magic bag" and it seemed to help more.

Although due to all the drugs I took I do feel more "stupid" than my usual "stupid" due to (I think) the daily Gabapentin I take, not too mention the others like a muscle relaxer and T3.

Yes, Mimi swears by it… My go to
Is lidocaine patches for face… I should get endorsement $$$$ from them!

Hi, lol, what are lidocaine patches?

Thanks,

Cheryl

I am sporting an example of lidocaine patches in my photos Cheryl… have a look they r so glam!!! I’m using some this eve and finding them soothing.

You call your GP or dentist or anybody

Have them call in for you a prescription

for Lidocaine patches.

You cut them up and fit them to your pain paths on your face.

Lasts for 12 hours!

My TN is in total remission for now

- but I have one right now on my back/neck because I have a pinched nerve! This little patch is worth gold for many!

here is a link to the Canadian group here

but there are some that get on the main board who are not on that group list I think there are more here than that

http://www.livingwithtn.org/group/canadianmembers

I got in USA in Michigan my MVD within 2 months..... now at 2 years, have had no pain.

Order the book "Striking Back" by dr. ken casey and ask/learn /read as much as you can --- so you can make the right choices for yourself

Mimi and Bellalarke --- put them in the search box or member list

They both had it recently in Canada --- one dr. was Kaufman?

MVD can get on NO or Lower meds eventually.... or the same day. You might have pain to be better off for only months, or years, everyone is so different.

If my pain goes back, I will have a second one , ONLY with one of THE top TN surgeons ONLY.

I agree the "ONLY" top surgeon for TN, I knew 2 ladies within about a 6 year span who were diagnosed with TMJ and had surgery. The one had great results the other had bad results, her one side of her face was so numb that it sagged and she had to support it with her hand when she chewed and talked and her speech was a bit slurred!!

I thought then I would never get surgery, but I've been told they don't operate now for TMJ?!?!?

Scary stuff,

Cheryl

Thanks! I will be doing that! I just checked on line for drug interactions because I'm on blood pressure meds and it looks good. :)
